Bylaws: Committees

Standing committees and their duties shall be:

  1. Nominating Committees: see Officers
  2. Membership Committee: Shall coordinate and maintain a membership service for existing and potential council members. Responsibilities include supervision of new member packets, communication with local groups regarding membership, coordination for efforts to increase Council membership, and assistance in establishing a communication network.
  3. Marketing/Public Relations Committee: Shall work to develop marketing and public relations strategies to promote the interest of Advanced Nursing Practice. The committee shall encourage and coordinate coalition formation with other groups, and actively solicit consumer support for Advanced Nursing Practice.
  4. Education and Research Committee: Shall work in association with the President to plan, coordinate, and implement educational programs and special conferences.
  5. Legislative Committee: Shall work to be involved with Legislative issues related to the Advanced Practice Nurses and keep membership informed.
